Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Well, the Rebans and their snacks.....
Although I guess they would like the idea of a "Snack Carrier", keep the following in mind:

When the Rebans were "discovered" by Humans in 2127, they were "only" able to fly with sub-light speeds. In their own solar system, they colonized two other planets with small outposts and did some mining in an asteroid belt. Their main space ships were the Plasma Cruiser.

In 2127, they had send out an unmanned - unrebaned - probe to the neighboring star system which was 1.2 light years away. As the probe was able to reach 30.000lm/s it took 15 years to get there. Launched in 2101, the first data arrived at the Rebans 16 years later. They then started to build their first interstellar ship which also would take 15 years to reach the other star system. But before it was completed, Rebans got in contact with humans which changed everything.

So, Rebans got human technology and started to build their first FTL ship, with assistance of human engineers. And this is the Ukumka. As this is the first ship, there was no snack carrier so far, but who knows what happened after the Ukumka is completed....

Exactly, but we are envisaging the outcome of the Reban Space Travel Development Agency's initial planing meetings  ;)

While I still have to find the right place for the snack storages, main focus was on making the gun.

Based on the placeholder (left) the gun is more detailed

Final 3D result of the gun, now have to see if it can be printed

Test print looks good, the final version will be made with the resin printer

The gun nozzle

Putting all test prints together

Resin print of the gun and several other parts needed for this deck

Totally agree    Plus it's educational, or at least it's opened my mind to what these 3D printers can do

On the Reban ship, work continues with the pole deck

Unfortunately, the upper part of the gun was damaged when removing the support. So I have to print it again.

Here is a size comparison with the deck, gun and a Reban.

The final print of the deck and the anti-gravity lifts

Testing the lower part of the gun and the gun controls

Also testing the upper deck to see if it all fits.

More detail parts are painted now and waiting for the assembly.  And of course, there is a snack machine among them

Some more placement tests

And with the upper deck

The complete gun. The diameter in "real life" would be 6 meters, its height 26 meters.

As I said earlier, I'm saving my comments until it's finished, otherwise I would have run out of superlatives long ago!
