Super Glue and Baking Soda

It only weeps if you use baking powder, as there's other chemicals in it. Baking Soda proper is okay.

IIRC baking powder is baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) bulked out with flour.

Baking powder is a mix of a base i.e. bicarbonate of soda, and an acid i.e. cream of tartar or similar.
The bulking starch; corn, potato etc., keeps the acid and base from prematurely reacting and creating 
gas.
