hey guys
I'm thinking of doing this for my next subject and I'm looking to see if you think this is a good idea or not?

Dizzyfugu

Who are we to stop you?  :angel:

Personally, I find the design/colors butt-ugly, but thta has nothing to say.  ;)

Lord_Voyager

I would shoot even MORE torpedoes at it...

But if you look at the background... varying grey, spots of green foliage, browns and blues... THAT would be a cool camo job...

perttime

It looks sort of cool but I have my doubts about RED as a camo colour. Depends on if you want it to be hard to see.

WoWS schemes can be a bit ... "bright", "goth" or just plain weird. :rolleyes:

This is one of what I call the "goth" schemes. Not one of my favourites but, in a world where the Martian invasion of 1890's left large areas of Earth infested with the "red weed", it might be suitable. :unsure:

Your call, Si, but not one I, personally, would chose. :-X

NOTE: Besides, haven't you already done a similar scheme on the USS Alaska? :unsure:

Not a scheme I'd thought of, but Whiffworld has space for every idea.   Personally, I'd suggest a much browner shade but if your backstory can justify red, why not?

Actually, I see it as something like the dazzle scheme where it attracts the eye but in this case the red throws off your perception of what it is. Interesting.

Thanks for the honest feedback guys! Maybe I won't do it  :thumbsup:
Personally, I think it's quite the eye catcher but probably best left in game rather than realised in plastic. I am wanting to do something that's just not the usual overall grey
What about if I swapped out the red for a darkish blue?
Or how about this one?

I think the masking involved in that one would be a bit too much even for me but I could have a crack at it

Old Wombat

One of my in-game favourites. :thumbsup:

Not a scheme I would attempt, though, but, given your propensity for pushing the outer boundaries of insanity with your micro-detailing work, maybe this is your kind of scheme. ;)  ;D

LOL, I think even my patience would be tested with this one.  ;D
Yeah, not sure really what to do yet. If I was able to sculpt stuff, I would make the Varg but, alas, I can't.

I'm no good at getting screen shots from WoWS but here's a list of some camo's you might want to consider, most are relatively simple & moderately "effective";

Tiles
Lines

Ocean Soul
Battle of Jutland
Gregale
Perse (but change orange->green & red->blue)

It is an eye catcher, and if that is what you like ...  :thumbsup:
For a camo, replace the red with something that is not red, orange or yellow.

I liked the red.  I'd keep it, and loose the greys in favour of peach, mauve and sky blue.  Perfect for attacking out of the sunrise.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Whatever color you go with I would consider spraying said colors on different sheets of decal paper and cutting out the shapes you need for different parts of the ship.
