Round One of the 2023/2024 GB Subject Poll - pick up to 15 for entry into Round 2


They are basically in the order in which they were suggested.

I've included nearly all the suggestions made but have merged a couple of very similar ones so as not to dilute their vote.

Now I've given you 15 votes, although you don't have to use them all, and I will put 15 or so through to the second round. Not fixing the number now as I don't want to be too harsh and drop things that only narrowly miss the "cut".

I pushed myself out to 14 subjects that I might be able to get my head around but, even so, unless it gels with where my brain/mojo is going at the time I probably won't be entering.

It is indeed sir and unfortunately I missed it    I did manage to pick up the others though. I'll try and remember and combine the votes the two subjects receive when it comes to sorting out round 2.

That's actually the way I feel, and indeed have only entered a couple of the recent GB's. I simply act as a facilitator for the membership, although a similar excuse didn't work at Nuremburg. 

On a serious note it's why I ask people to think about their ideas in terms of viability/practicality/likely popularity before submitting them. Doesn't seem to get through to all though. So far I reckon I've spent 7 hours sorting this years GB's out and there's more work to come. Can you tell I'm tired ?

I agree that some suggestions are what frenchmen would call farfelues.

I've voted for 15. Obviously I've voted for those I proposed, and those which were similar to something I've proposed in the past. As for the rest, I've tried to avoid things that only appeal to a subset of the membership, e.g. aircraft-only subjects which would exclude armour/ship modellers.
