Lee ol mate I'm am now thinking of something a little more drastic
Still a engine conversion but more like a desperate attempt to get a plane into the air 😅
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Don't forget that the "Re-engine it" GB starts on the 1st July and that you are one of the Moderators  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Pipes sorted out, wings straightened, so back on. Need to sort out the fin before the tail planes go back on.

And that is a 72nd Bf 109G-10 as a size comparator.

Yikes, she's a Big Girl, huh... looking forward to seeing where this goes.

The Wooksta!

The tailplanes went on and got knocked off so it was left to gather dust.  Until last week when they went back on and it got some primer.

And filler.  Can't forget the filler.

Filler is sanded off and it's due for some paint at the weekend.  Not looking forward to masking round those pipes.

Magic to see this monster on the way again.

B & V seemed to spend half their time RE-designing every one else's aeroplanes, didn't they?  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The 76 is on and it's masked to spray the first of the two upper colours.
I'm a bit torn, as the instructions call for an 81/83 Dark Green combination, and indeed that's what was specified for the Bv 155B and C, I'm minded to go for an 82/83 combination as it's just a nice combination.

Ready to go once the primer I shot the starboard wing with has cured.  A moulding issue that nigh on 30 years after I'd started the sodding thing I'd never fixed.  Anyway sanded back and some dark colours should hide it.  I've decided on the 81/83 combination.

Paint should be going on soon.

Likely to get decalled this week, I've a spare set of Bv 155 markings to use.  However, it's likely one a captured prototype - we captured the Blohm und Voss works at Hamburg - rather than something frontline.

The Wooksta!

The German markings are on and I've added a few fuel filler stencils, simply because they were there.  RAF markings should be going on soon.
