1/48 Airfix Lynx HAS.8 kit (converted)

I've had this kit a few years as I bought it for the nose and weapons for my RN V-22 Osprey.  I had no idea what to do with the rest, when a friend gave me a resin nose for an earlier version, so I made a hybrid.

Story goes....

The RAF scrapped its Sea Kings and handed over ASR duties to civvie companies.  Unfortunately there were gaps in their coverage, so the RAF were asked to step in. Without suitable helicopters, a few ex-RN Lynxs were found and converted for their new duties.

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Impressive   Yellow can be a difficult colour to do well.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks right to me ! Story makes sense too. I mean, it's a great helicopter, so why wouldn't the RAF want it !

That's an interesting idea - nice one.

Backstory makes sense, and I can think of a couple of alternative ones that might bring an RAF Rescue Lynx about too. The reasons that forces everywhere tend to prefer larger machines for ASR are a) range and b) stability in gusty winds, but you can certainly do rescue with smaller machines, as the number of ASR Alouette IIIs can testify, and there might be circumstances where the Lynx's speed and high power/weight ratio might be considered an advantage.

Speaking of which, speed makes me wonder about a Lynx air-ambulance....

The Lynx is a under-whiffed type and you've done it proud.
Whatever.
