Quote from: kitbasher on September 02, 2023, 05:06:31 AMRed Top repop please, Colin - ideally the Phantom 'twin set'.

And a Shackleton MAD boom, please!
The operational Avro Shackletons were never fitted with a MAD boom although one was tested by the experimental and research unit.

I don't think a Shackleton MAD boom is very likely! Actually, I did have a Mad boom master for the test aircraft, however it looked very unimpressive, I didn't proceed with it and no longer have it. At the time I was working on a test aircraft decal sheet, but I had problems with the decal to, so the Shackleton bit the dust.

However, one of my other releases at Telford should be the above mentioned test aircraft decal sheet, after a rather long gestation period. Although not a whif item, I definitely think it will be of interest. Real world subjects on the sheet include Hunter P.1109A WW598, T.12 XE531, pre-production Gnat T.1 XM693 used for spin trials, ETPS Lightning T.4 (2nd prototype) XL629, Gnat T.1 XP505 in Aero Flight Bedford scheme and trials Shackleton MR.3 WR972 with black & yellow undersides. All six options have quite challenging and colourful schemes and require minor modifications using Freightdog conversions, I will post some profiles nearer the show.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have found a line drawing of the Avro Shackleton MR.2 with a MAD boom, I knew that I had seen it before. It can be scratchbuilt.

Hi all,

Just got the shipping notice from CMR, so I'm fairly comfortable to announce two more items that will be at Telford. These are a re-issue of the TSR.2 Interceptor, and a brand new TSR.2 Trainer conversion.

The interceptor set includes IFR probe, underside fuselage sideways looking radar, wing pylons, launch shoes and two Radar Red Top missiles. This set has been OOP for a long time.

The trainer set has a new duel cockpit tub and rear panel/stick & pedals.  A replacement vacform main canopy has been produced by Rob Taurus, a spare canopy is provided for the cack-handed  ;)

Thanks,
Colin

Yummy, will keep an eye out for those on your web site or could you keep one of each for me as I won't be at Telford?
