With the growing number of overcrowded "cookie-cutter" airshows, I feel this event is a hidden gem.

Cor, wow and other expletives!

Thanks for the link!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Oh, wow! A Spad!

Then the Spad & the commemorative scheme A-10!

Steven, do you know what model A-4 that was? Has to have been early (B or C) because it has the straight IFR probe.

Again another great selection of photo's (especially the Spad! ).

Look closer mate.  Two Spads - Bad News and Naked Fanny (which together sound like a fun night out  ;)  ).

Good pics.  Thanks for sharing.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Wow. Those formations are superb ! What a great show for sure. Save for a couple of heavies, it pretty much covers military aviation history ! Love watching aeroplanes like the Corsair and Skyraider alight.

I just saw Spad & everything just went all hazy. You just don't see enough pic's of them at airshows ... or anywhere, for that matter.

The first pic of the Corsair with the wings folded is just classic! Awesome day in the sun!

The Warbird Heritage Foundation Scooter is a "B" model.

I rare 4 ship USN Legacy flight was one of my reasons for attending the show. Along with, it was cool to see a Camo Hawg in formation with a Camo Skyraider as well. and yes, there were two Skyraiders . "Bad News" and "Naked Fanny"

Thanks again everybody!

There used to be one, I want to say an AD-4N or Q, that would visit Ye Auld Sussex Airshow (closed in 2004).  One year (I want to say it was the '02 show), whilst dating the ex-Mrs Scooter, they did a CAS demo with an O-1, O-2, and the SPAD...which included pyro and butane in the gun ports.  I thoroughly loved the demo, she was freaking out.

Those are some gorgeous shots!

I agree about what you say in regards to "Cookie-cutter" airshows. I particularly hear that about American and Britsh airshows. I consider myself lucky to be in a place that gives me access to a good number of shows that have all managed to keep their own particular flavours.

Your website is also very enjoyable.
