The Wooksta!

Fuselage closed up after a struggle.  It's one of the early boxings in white plastic, and they had a tendency to warp to hell.  Lots of filler needed.  The wings and tailplanes are ready to go on as soon as it's done.

The tailwheel has been modified.  I drilled out the leg through the fuselage axle and then carefully removed the leg, leaving the axle in the fuselage. I can pin it in at a later date.

Now to modify the wheels.

I'm awaiting the new version of this Lee
I hate the colour red anyway so any colour changes here will be good 👍  ;D

It's going in a scheme similar to that worn by KG200's Ju 290s in the last 6 months of the war 75 with a 74 mottle uppers with black everywhere else.

I'll be repurposing another Condor into the red/yellow/aluminium scheme, I just have to disinter it from it's current resting place.  The Aluminium will go on last, so the red will get scalloped properly and I shouldn't have a thick ledge where the yellow cheat line goes.  The already done engines and props, not to mention the doors, will carry across.

As for the other on the go, the filler is on.

It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

I must say, the silver/red/yellow scheme is pretty striking; it'll be good to see what you come up with in the end.

The Argentinian Condor has been disinterred from its resting place.

This was done around 1997 and it looks pretty decent, but there needs to be a lot of remedial sanding underneath.  The undercarriage has collapsed beyond repair and an engine has gone walkies.  Neither of these matter too much, the u/c is getting replaced and the engines are coming from the other one.  One less job to do.

Stripped back now.You cannot view this attachment.

Next job is to remove the decals with tape and start the arduous task of filling underneath.

The decals on both the Argentinian and the red Spanish one have been removed.

The tape also took off some of the yellow cheat line on the Spanish one, which made it a bit easier.  That's been given a jolly sanding and will get a coat of grey primer over the weekend.
The Argentinian one needs a wash before a coat of white primer on the fin, the forward fuselage and the nacelles.  A lot of tricky masking for this one.

Condor 3, an OOB transport, is also due for primer once I've masked the windows.  Not looking forward to that.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Primed, sanded and reprimed.  I'll get the first coat of 75 on tomorrow.

Looking forward to it.

The Wooksta!

The 75 is on but I think a few areas need a polish and respray.

I did get some primer on a straight military transport one earlier.

The Wooksta!

The military transport one has had some sanding and filler applied.  Hopefully I can get the black on over the weekend so I can mask it to get one of the upper colours on.  70/71 again.

The grey one was masked this morning and now has the black on. I'll be taking delivery of some 74/75 so I'll be hand painting the 74 over the weekend.
