You are right , but I got no other part that could be used there ... maybe I can change it later , until this it is a job for special educated crew members . . .
I decide to keep the complete plane in silver , just a lot of washing in different shades like very much faded colors .
But that is not so easy , cause i have not so much experience with that technique.   And i need to cut the signs for the wings with a plotter for masking , but that needs some hours at the laptop constructing the data for that.   Maybe I can get to the actual GB at this point  but the props are left so it isn't finished, but three weeks until our local exhibition .

Two years ago i had much fun to build a vintage russian bomber , but these days i have a problem to see them, so we change the Sikorsky into a japanese plane, captured between the great wars .
It's name is now UWABAMI  , that is a great flying mystic dragon who attack the earth from the clouds ...

I made a vector graphic of the japanese letters and the wonderful lady took it with the plotter .

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I can just see that over the Khalkhin Gol
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

But between which wars?  ;)

I can see it flying over the Russian Second Pacific Squadron at Tsushima.

These references may be of some use  as a very basic introduction:-

and I'm sure that the collective wisdom of the group will add much more detail.

Well, Tsushima is "a bit" early for that plane, and Kalkhin Gol maybe late. Maybe you could find some russian-japanese war in the twenties...
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Would Japanese intervention in Siberia 1918 to 1922 be appropriate?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_intervention_in_Siberia

Yesterday i made a custom Transport Box for that big buster ...

Props mounting is always a mess , but last step were the main windows , strange to put them in place , they are 3 mm thick !

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .
