Aquired by the ministry of Axis aquisitions, at the end of the war in Europe, the aircraft was hastily repainted and adorned in RAF markings and cautiously flown back to England via 2 stops in France. The aircraft flew surprisingly well, and not once caused any problems for its nervous pilots. The pilots and crew had a very limited lesson in how to fly the aircraft by a captured Luftwaffe/factory test pilot, thankfully he didn't tell any fibbs, and the aircraft made it all the way back to Blighty. The speed and manuverability of the aircraft surprised and worried the pilots as it was so much more advanced that anything the allies had. Whilst flying over the chanel the crew couldn't resist trying out the 50 mm cannon, this temptation didn't last long as the gun wasn't bolted down properly, and its recoil nearly ripped the gun off its mounts. Whilst in the UK, the aircraft and its gun were tested against other aircraft both on the ground and in the air, and against armoured vehicles, both of which it were devastating against. The aircraft stayed in the Uk for 3 years being tested and then it got taken apart and shipped off to America, never to be seen again.

Cheers, I do like the Arado 234's so I had to have one and build it into my theme.

Nicely done! Looks quite sinister in that mostly-black scheme.

Definitely different with that nose for sure ..very nice Chris 😀😀👍
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Rick Lowe

Yeah; the Night-Fighter nose from the kit, but not one you see very often as most everyone uses the 'classic' 234 nose.

No, it's not.
It was an armoured version proposed for the Night Fighter, so there would be a measure of protection from debris - as opposed to almost none with the standard perspex one.
It's an option in the 1/72 Dragon 4-engine kit.

There was also a proposed Jager version, with a standard-type stepped cockpit windscreen. Unicraft do a 1/72 conversion for it.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

KiwiZac

I like that a lot! Great paint scheme choice.
