I still love that paint job! I think I would have to paint the lightest color then put decals on for the rest. All that masking!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Too much camo, I can't see it!  ;D  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Camo is still bloody awesome!

Thanks guys ☺️

Honestly I would have thought I'd finished this by now and I'm quite surprised I haven't.

I must do something about that I'm a thinking 🤔

That camo job blows me away ... I can't believe the amount of masking needed for that.  I do all my painting with brushes, so wavy lines are what I do.  Jaggedy wee splintery stuff like wot you did are completely beyond me.

Well done, mate!

Ditto - the only thing worse is Digital. The thought of either masking job sends me straight back to Wavy-cam schemes. :o

Admittedly, not such a complex scheme but, a whole lot easier than fiddling about masking.

Allen that is lovely mate ...there's been so many Mirage III models ive seen and they really done look different from each other..this one stands out very nicely.
As for my masks ..I just make my own from scratch from masking take ..nothing flashy .
I wanted the camo to be similar to the original one on the Viggen.

Thank you for the kind remarks  . To me a Viggen is NOT a Viggen unless its sporting some sort of splinter camouflage scheme. I've started painting my now complete model. Doing in stages!! ;D As I found out that  I don't have any solid colour decal handy, I've reverted to masking! ;D  Actually, it's not as difficult as one might think, even in 1/72. Quite therapeutic actually. Colours I'm using are (underside)  Extracrylix RLM 76 (Light Blue).  Revell Aqua Colours 74 Geschutzgrau, 68 Dunkel grun, 08 Matt Black, 75 Steingrau for the splinter scheme. Should have it finished next week by which time I'll be ready to post photos. It's not quite as elaborate as the real thing but, it looks OK so far ;D

Mate i have no idea why i didnt answer your reply ,,,i always do ..oh well im getting older by a another yr this Saturday so thats my excuse  ;D
I tend to agree with ya ...its very strange to me to see a Viggen without the splinter camo as the very first one i ever saw had it and i know that when i get another and i fully intend to it will have a splinter camo of some sort .,,i know one thing ..knowing me its not going to be anything simple ...ill complicate the hell out of it  ;D

But now after a very long minute its what im calling done guys ...i dont know why i didnt go nuts on this ...its something i cant explain  ...so here it is .
