Scale Model World 2023. November 11th and 12th 2023.

4 weeks and it will all just about be over.

Can I just say that people planning on attending who are not IPMS Members should read the attached as tickets ARE NOT for sale on the door.

Coooer, that will cut down the size if the queues I bet. But not for the members.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Given that I've quit my job, I could probably go now, but given that I now need to save money, I'm still not going to. :-\

Definitely there Saturday, very probably Sunday too.  Looking forward to catching up with you all (that's always the best bit of the weekend).
Hannants order on the go - nowt exciting, mainly paints - hoping Mr Strachan will be taking pre-orders.
Trying to be good with kit purchases (plenty in the stash) but I'm sure there'll be a couple of impulse buys.  At the mo all I expect I'll be on the lookout for will be a Heller (or Airfix boxing) Dragon Rapide and/or matching pair of pre-loved 1/72 Hurricanes for chopping up and reassembling in a GB I hope runs next year [EDIT 18/10/2023: sorted!].  Or a sensibly-priced A-Model Dove/Devon [EDIT 18/10/2023: sorted!].

[EDIT 30/10/23: see sales list at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=52188.0]

I'm planning to be there on Saturday, having picked Ratty up in Hereford.  Trouble is, I need to get home at 10 pm or so, as I have to drive to Carlisle on Sunday.

I'll be there both days, after having a bit of a panic when my usual landlady for the occasion, my #2 daughter (Did you know she was the RAF's.............ah, you did, OK) told me they'd had to change their holiday dates, and they co-incided exactly with the Nats! Er. sorry, SMW.

I've made other arrangements which didn't cost too much, which means I'll have a lengthy hike to Telford each day, but what the hell.

Can sort you out with Hurricane bits plus a Dove/Devon.

I shall be in Telford from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Look forward to seeing you all again.

Only thing I know I want is a 1/72 Mosquito. No doubt I will want lots of other things when I see them.

Accidental Loggie

I'll definitely be there on the Saturday, bright and early, with some offerings for the stand (mainly involving @Freightdog862 bits and pieces).

@kitbasher - I think I have an unmade 1/72 Airfix Hurricane looking for a new home, if you're interested.....  If you want it, l'll bring it with me ;) .

buzzbomb

Considering I cunningly planned our entire holiday around getting to the UK for ScaleModelworld this year... I plan to be there on both days.  Staying in Shrewsbury, so the trains had better be going.
So much to see, so much stuff to walk past muttering " you don't need it, you don't need it" and hopefully some folks to say g'day to

The Wooksta!

Should be there from about 3ish on the Friday.

Considerable shopping list, but desperately seeking a Huma Junkers Ju 288 and 72nd Spanish roundels for 40s and 50s aircraft.

Plus Blohm und Voss stuff.
