From what I've read the launch put far less stress on the airframe and pilot than a catapult launch from an aircraft carrier.

It's the same with my 35th scale stuff Dave..the more modern the kit the more parts they have these days ..doesn't seem to matter what scale anymore either.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Very exciting. I like the idea that one super detailed kit balances out an old-school kit lol. It's always surprising how small trucks etc. actually are in relation to an aeroplane !

It is! I bought a 1/72 M1 Abrhams tank and was shocked how tiny it was!

I've built the Revell 35th scale model several times and I am now wondering how similar they are to built 🤔.
Your kit probably has a better parts fit 😆
