Because the European Allies didn't cover up most of the Nazi war crimes, so that makes them easier to use as the universal "bad guy"?

Don't recall too many people covering up the Japanese war crimes, either, & most of these books are written by Americans, who should know about the Pacific & SW Pacific TOs, at least (even if they know nothing of the SEATO).

What I think it comes down to is how technically advanced Nazi Germany was with its rockets & jets & (possible/probable) nuclear program. That & the fact that their warped beliefs still seem to hold some sort of fascination for many of European descent, whereas the whole Bushido thing is a bit too alien for most.

Although, given the Japanese tendency to burrow deep into the ground to build their defences, you'd think they would be the most likely candidates for the "hollow Earth base" tales.

Japan seems interesting for me as base for some whatifs, right , but I am German and I like the signs very much .
First try with this was German standard camouflage, but my skills at that are not really good    so I have to clean it and turn into nature metal with natural corrosion .  Japan was even very evil in any war they participated.

My as yet unfinished History of the People's Democratic Republic of Victoria pt 2 (unfinished?  Barely started would be a better description) contains the following regarding the ending of WW2.
"War ended by RAF Lincolns dropping British built Nuclear Bombs Tiny Tim and Tubby Blighter on Japanese Antarctic base and on the Japanese fleet when it is assembled off Darwin to surrender.
The Antarctic bomb results in climate change, melted ice cap, rising sea levels and the greening of the Red Centre."

The PDRV was an independent nation state aligned with the Soviet Union.  When the second Russo-Japanese war broke out in 1939 Victoria declared war on Japan.  This conflict spread to become WW2.  I need to work on the details but I suspect it will turn out that Germany bombed Pearl Harbour in 1941...
