That's going to be a lot of putty! Is it too late to put in some splices along the sides to get that to match up? I'm sure you already thought of that.

Oh its a doosie all right Ken ...slices of 1mm thick Evergreen is where I'm going to start with then build it out with .5 and .25 mm thick plastic..putty over the top ...im having ideas with the areas behind the intakes  :wacko:  ;D

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I think kerick means wedges of styrene to lift the sides of the top of the fuselage up to align with the top of the intakes. :unsure:

Same impression I got matey and it's pretty much exactly what I did .. but in small chunks ...ive already done it 👌 😌
Instead of trying bigger bits ..yep I tried 😆...I just layered pieces of styrene of different thicknesses until I got the shape I wanted..it's now puttied and drying  :thumbsup:

The original MRCA, and I think all Tornadoes as well, had a step in the top of the intake just about there. IIRC it was an air bleed vent to bleed off supersonic air flow.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Been mucking around with this today .

Landing gear is fitted and I had to fit em cause the rears are annoying and how they are fitted depends on the weapons load...and chaps she's gonna be armed  ;)
Since the 2 Hasegawa weapons sets came in the mail my choices for weapons has increased quite dramatically   ;D

Right lads this thing is now ready for primer .
Weapons have been selected.
4 x AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles
2 x GBU-31 JDAM 2000lb bombs
2 x GBU-24 Paveway lll 2000lb bombs
1 x AN/AAQ-33 SNIPER XR  targeting pod .

I did come across which could be a problem but just hope it's not ..decals.
The only modern RAF decals I have are from my MK5 Harrier..guess they will work in wiffy world.

Well she's primed lads and it's possible colour will hit it this weekend.
Colours are going to be Tamiya sky underneath..with the normal green / gray on top ...I think   ;)

Paint is on this now ..yep it's got colour other than black primer ..Tamiya Buff is the base color ..2 more colours to follow  ;D
Also sprayed the weapons load..landing gear and so on .
Still ummin and are in on the size of the roundels ...my selection of modern ones is limited to the extreme.

Paint colour No2 is now done ..the last colour will follow shortly.
Probably tomorrow..or later today ..the last colour is dark green .
The second colour was dark stone ..pics will follow after I've got this stage of painting done .
