Some of you no doubt already know this, but here is a video detailing how bad this thing is. If I see one for sale, I might buy it and then run my car over it a few times in order to save some other modeler from grief:

Mistercraft (formerly known as Mastercraft) is a hit or miss affair, all of their kits are re-boxings, including horrible Intech, Aeroplast or Plastyk kits. But there are also some gems, like decent Heller kits (IIRC including the Mirage V or the F6F, and certainly others, too). Best thing is to check Scalemates about the kit's origin/heritage, even though sometimes the decal sheet alone can be worthwhile (and the hardware becomes body donors for other projects). The Harrier is admittedly horrible, though. But the Harrier GR.7/AV-8B is even worse, because the box contains the same Harrier Mk.I/AV-8A!

I've recently peeked into the AV-8B/GR.7 box, and.....

.....Dizzy you are very generous in your comments.  It's an awful kit.  You're right, it's a first-generation Harrier (a very poor one at that) plus some flattish shapes claiming to be a second-generation Harrier wing.

Avoid.

But as Dizzy says, some of the range appears to be Heller in origin.  Others (Javelin and Hunter) are FROG-based.

They can be quite good as Whiff-fodder though.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Mistercraft kits are like a Revell box, you never know what (or who's) sprues you gonna get.
you might be lucky enough to find a decent Heller rebox, or some FROG mould, then okay.
but many of the moulds are from long gone East-European kit manufacturers in which the quality or detail is dubious.
the thing is Mistercraft is dirt cheap, and there's a reason why.

the only thing the kits are good for, is the decals.
just use these on the better kits.

Echoing the hit and miss comments, I got the Pogo and Javelin earlier in the year. The Pogo is a nice little kit, goes together well.  The Javelin looks like it's been in direct sunlight.  Don't necessarily avoid them entirely, but check what's in the box first.

I believe the Sea Harrier shares its fuselage with the GR.7 kit, says it all really.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Pogo is an ex-KP kit, and all the good for it too.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

But what if I like cheap, crappy kits? ......

Good to know, didn't know this brand was operating.  A rebox Pogo? yes please.

True, but the main reason for a review is not to just say good or bad, but how good or how bad, so that the viewer can judge whether it seems worth it. In this case; not worth it.

Yeah, but a lot of these youtube reviews and, even worse unboxings, run on and on and on ad nauseum and by the end all you've "learned" could have been covered in 5 to 10 minutes, 15 at the outside. Of course it's my opinion and as I'm biased to the written word and truly don't care for video as a medium for imparting information, I've loathed TV news since I was a kid, boring droners don't stand a chance.
