I picked up the odd model kit and book at Telford this year, not too many, just enough to keep the 'little grey cells' in tune anyway.

The kits included an Xtrakit Canberra PR9, couple of very vintage Rareplanes vacforms, A Fokker GR-1 and a Spiteful. The book haul comprised Chris Gibson's new Recce and Transport tome, and it weighs a TON, plus a few other odds and ends.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Oh yes, I forgot I got BUMPER box of lovely resin stuff from Lee, much of which will take some identifying, but it looks as if I have a complete resin Spiteful, amongst other odds and ends!

Quote from: Gondor on Yesterday at 03:39:39 AMWhen I got home I found out that the Italeri F-35A I bought, I already had, I should have bought the B version so I would have a complete set by the same company  :banghead:  No matter, a change of decals will go along way with this.

I also had not posted that I got a couple of boxes from Lee, Thanks very much Lee, I will send you some pictures for you to identify a few bits, I am also sure I can come up with something to do with the Lightning.

The eduard Royal box of the Bf 109G-10 looks to almost have enough parts inside it to make three aircraft with all the spare parts!

Gondor

The truffle box is a load of resin and etch for Airfix and Eduard 190s.  There was a bag of random modern missiles, most of the grey Airfix bits are either F4K bits (they were donated, yeah?) or new tool Buccaneer, the open airbrake bits I promised.  Resin you should have the He 277 fins and a number of DB603LA engine fronts, plus possibly some Jumo 222 cowls (I'll be reworking them to upgrade/correct in the near future), old tool Brick noses, possibly Mosquito noses.  Can't remember what else was in there, I'd need to see a photo or two.

That's roughly what I worked them out to be Lee, just wasn't sure about the Cowls. There was also three fins, pointed and flat top Lightning, not sure about the other although it looks like a P.1121 family . No idea about the wheels that were there.
I have now ordered an Eduard Fw 190F-8 to hang the resin and etch bits from, an AllyCat Mosquito TF33 happened to fall into the checkout basket at the same time, such a shame

Quote from: Wardukw on Yesterday at 12:48:28 AMI just went a tiny bits nuts buying some kits and bits which was very cheap..
There's two models and two tools.
First the kits .
1/35th French Heavy Tank ARL44 by Amusing Hobby.
1/35th Grille30 30.5cm(Grw) L/15 Mörser "Bär" by
Trumpeter.
The tools
Alexen Static Grass applicator
Streaking & Wet Effects Leakage Spray Stenciling Template by Alexen..or a cheating tool   ;D

ARL44 looks like its straight out of an anime/manga or 50's sci fi movie.  A multi turreted version might look good.

Yeah its a cool looking beast and one I've wanted for decades..it's a Big tank 😎
Strange ya mentioned that because I think the French was actually thinking of exactly that and I think a mockup was built 🤔 😉

Fred I found the monster I was thinking about..it's called the FCM F1 heavy tank 🤘

Damn I hate Stocker Models...hate hate hate...went in there to puc up my 48th Italeri U2 minus the canopy and the 72nd Airfix Vulcan..which I did pick up and then I made the mistake of looking around.
So I came home with a 48th Monogram A-10 Thunderbird ll ..a pack of NZ Finescale PE tree ferns ..a bag of alloy 5mm tubes and a large coil of .45mm plastic coated wire and a large box of sheet styrene..it's bits and bobs and full size sheets ..also half full pieces of K&S copper sheets ..all different thicknesses  :banghead:  :banghead:
Oh and all the wire..tubing..metal and styrene..10 bucks  ;D

Intrigued by the mention of a Mosquito TR.33 conversion, I had a look.  For what it is, it's overpriced and missing the tropical intakes (see photo below) that seemed to be present on all late/post war single stage Mosquitoes.  Have a word with Colin, who does a superb set.  Paragon also did them with his Sea Mosquito, but his were too flat and didn't follow the curve of the cowling.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Uncle Frank has discovered a Dutch Decal sheet I've been trying to find for nigh on FOUR years, this being the one with a post war 21 Sqn Mosquito.  This will be mine on Friday.

So an Azur-Frrom Bloch MB 210
Arma PZL P.7A
KP Gosling - New tool, but will need a little care and attention
Dora Vengence Mk I/IA
Eduard Me 109 G Overtrees - after getting Lee's I couldn't resist. When I went back on the Sunday they'd virtualy sold out.

Also various paints, glues, varnishes and scalpel blades. Weighed more than the kits, but when you haven't a local hobby shop what other choice do you have ?

Plus a nice resin Ta 152/Late FW 190 and some transfers from Lee

I certainly know that their 1/48Vengeance Mk.II looks good in the box (I have one sitting under their 1/48 Vultee Vanguard Mk.I in the House Stash). ;)
