Just ordered a bottle of Vallejo Deep Sky off eBay.  Apparently Xtracrylix did do it but it's since been deleted.

And that's annoying.

Weaver

From Airfix:

1/72nd Scale Vintage Classics Bristol Superfreighter.

Would never have paid the £25 RRP for it, but Hobby Points and Club discount got it down to £16.

Looks pretty decent. The cockpit glazings seem to be a reasonable fit, possibly needing some shimming on the sills, but nothing too onerous.

Got a basic Revell Spitfire Mk V from Hobbycraft as I needed an early-ish Merlin (or two....) for a Whiff project. If the engine fits OK, I'll get another one.

Possibly? Definitely!

How many would you need?  I've a fair few kicking about.... I'll see what's in the airframe spares boxes.

Tbh, whilst it has a nice enough shape and a very nice cockpit, everything else - prop, undercarriage, canopy, radiator and oil cooler - are frankly terrible. It's an awful Vb too.

It was just the engine and prop that I wanted, but this one has no prop!!!!  :banghead:

The spinner and the little locking washer are on the sprue, but the prop itself is missing. How can that be?  :-\

I'm sure I can supply a prop or three too - 3 or four blade and if the former, De Havilland or Rotol?

Would single stage Merlins for Mosquito be an alternate option?  I have some iffy cast early ones plus a spare pair of Tamiya nacelles.

Mosquito Merlins might work better for the Whiff I'm thinking of, thanks.

And probably DH props in that case.
