Quote from: PR19_Kit on October 17, 2024, 03:42:40 PMWell, it's M'box, of COURSE it has 3 colour mouldings.  ;D

When those Revell hoodlums got hold of it they did them all the same colour, how boring! :(

Didn't someone paint a real aircraft in three colors as if it was an assembled kit?

Buy a kit that Matchbox never did, build it up and paint sections in three different colours. Looks like it's a Matchbox kit but it isn't so it's a wiff

Gondor

Get a Revell re-pop of a Matchbox kit and paint that in the original Matchbox colours...

The coffee shops at the BP stations here have lots of them for free...

Not sure they're small enough. I'll have a look though, 'cos when I opened the package of crates, it turned out they were bnedy vinyl plastic (like figures) not hard plastic. :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

1 x 1/144 Airfix 03171 Vickers Vanguard in the "Classic Airliners" Special Editio boxing. Probably going to become one of the Maritime Nimrod versions.

Gondor

How many of the props are still intact?
Airfix sprue design makes them very vulnerable to blade loss.

Two blades in total are off. The kit had several parts loose in the box, no bag present but I knew that from pictures, all parts were in the box.

Gondor

 Better than mine.  All four of my props have at least one blade off.  I am hopeful I can reattach them.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Hehehehe I like that idea H.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Some of those old Matchbox Kits are very crispy today and break very easy in parts .

I catch another small of them at the weekend show.

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

If not, you could probably adapt parts from something else made for WW2 USN - F6F, F4U, etc.

It's been sitting in the cabinet for years so don't wait up for it.

What's giving me pause for thought is that I need the grain to be small enough for 1/72nd. Coffee stirrers are usually used in 1/35th or bigger. Free to try though, so I will when I get a chance.

buzzbomb

With the advised demise of Accurate Armour, back in August,  I jumped onboard immediately to order a couple of Grailers. Just in case.

So with Accurate Armour then overloaded with orders, I finally got news the kits were shipping on 10 Oct with Royal Mail. Seeing a lot of the not so great experiences with Royal Mail Shipping, I wondered how long.

Well they are here.
AA 3.7inch AA gun and Stalwart have arrived. So lets say 12 Days from the UK. Well done AA, Royal Mail and AustPost.
