Quote from: Old Wombat on December 16, 2024, 01:31:05 AMI wasn't going to but a whole heap of stuff came in that I'd requested notifications on;

1 x Hobby Boss 1/35 Vickers Medium Tank Mk.I (HB 83878) - to be modded into a late-1930's APC

Now that sounds interesting  :thumbsup:

It's going to be quite a sizeable diorama when finished; Vickers Mk.II tank, Vickers Mk.1 APC, Rolls Royce armoured car, 30-cwt truck & Fordson staff car... plus figures.

This sounds well worth waiting for!

Indeed!  :thumbsup:

Late addition in this year, an Academy 1:72 P-47D/Fw 190A dual combo (70th Normandy Anniversary Set) for just EUR 17,43,-, for The Stash™ (with a vague plan for the Thunderbolt).

The Wooksta!

Ordered some more paint.

I did get a KP Spitfire PR.XI from Uncle Frank on Saturday but that was a hostage swap for a single seat AZ SR.53 I had spare.  Turns out that I've another lurking in the loft.

The Spit is going to be an early 19, using a spare Sword 14 high back fuselage and some bits from the spares box.  The remains of the XI could end up as something I've been planning for a while.  Or maybe a decent HF.VII, the new AZ one is just their 2011 tool that's really just a mk VIII.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

If you're feeling adventurous, check out the Caprica Fighter from the Reboot BSG; it only uses the nose and canopy, but hey - it's an option...

Another Academy 1:72 P-47D, now a single bubbletop kit for a whiffy D-Day aircraft.

Another trip to Wonderland, Edinburgh. Revell 1/32 Hunter F. 6,1/32 Hunter FGA 9 and, three Academy 1/144 B-47s sort of leapt into my bag😂.
Overall though, my stash has actually reduced! 😯. I've built a good number of smaller kits and, offloaded another batch of unbuilt ones😊

I went into a local charity shop today and didn't buy anything. They did have an Airfix 1/48 Dogfight Double set with the Spitfire MkV and Me109E. Not my scale or era really so I didn't get it.
Only £10 mind...  :-\

They also had the 1/72 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon for £15 but I wasn't interested.
