What I Gloster turned their F5/34 project into a twin engined predecessor of the F9/37 inspired on the Grumman XF-5F? maybe it looked like this:

It'll get twin fins made of Gladiator stabilo's and stabilo's made of the lower wing of a fiat Cr42. Still need to strip the paint of the stabilo's.

Once the other prop is cured and sanded, the other engine goes on aswell. Next up is the paint job. Maybe do this one in the alu dope scheme with gaudy squadron colors just like the early Gloster Gladiators.

Coming right along.

I see you've also been doing unmentionable things to a poor, innocent DC3...  ;)

Yes    or possibly put it in early Desert AF colours ? (I have a "thing" about DAF and SEAC schemes  )

Late-1940 colours - maybe a Whirlwind squadron?

"alu dope scheme with gaudy squadron colors" sounds good to me.

Cool design!
I'm a little concerned about visibility from the cockpit, though.

So a scheme like this:

although i like this aswell:

The cockpit is the same as the Gladiator. I do get your point about visibility with those eggbeaters in front to the left and right. Visibility downward would be limited but horizontal and up won't be much of an issue.

When it comes to downward visibility the designers may well have included a clear vision panel in the cockpit floor so the pilot could look down ? There were a few aircraft of the period and later that included something similar.

Oh, I'll reveil the poor innocent DC-3 very soon. It's supposed to be a Miles project. Something like a follow-up of the M.20. Not sure yet..
