Yes, kit is E.  Masks are F/G.   Still doesn't make them fit though.   :banghead:

And the bomb bay with the z'ed central spine to allow for bomb clearance.  You will all remember how this plays a role in one of the movies most dramatic scenes when the bomb in Gibson's plane (G - Glenn) won't start spinning and the navigator and Co-Pilot hang off the walkway and run on top of it to get it moving.

Oh yeah, didn't they hit it with a baseball bat first and then tried  to kick it into motion, and did the running thing with only seconds to go before the drop time?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

;D  ;D

I watched a rather nice little Brit comedy/drama (Their Finest) the other night about a British Min of Information propaganda unit feature film on the Dunkirk evacuation and how the FO and MoD wanted then to change it and involve an American hero for the US audience.

They wouldn't as just about all of the windows in the
nose are different, ditto the nose transparency and it has a Bendix rather than a Martin turret.
Of course B-17 differences are no biggie compared
to nose turret B-24s.

And then one of them fell out with the bomb, shouting "Yeee Harrrr! Surf's Up!!!" accompanied by the film's iconic Beach Boys soundtrack...

And surely it would have been a Cricket Bat, what?

You are both confusing it with "Dr Lovedamn, or how I learnt to bounce the bomb".

I know all that now.   :banghead:   Not something I have ever paid attention to.  Buying the wrong mask set was down to me relying on memory and being too lazy to check which kit I had before ordering.

Bomb cradle going in.  The bomb isn't attached yet hence the clamp.
