Yes, of course. I can even offer scans from a box, or from the book cover.  It was just to show how the KVZ logo looked, for members that did not know the brand.

BTW, the book (very interesting) is still available directly from the author.

Would it be wrong to make the KVZ logo in red or some other bright colour?
I was thinking that a bright coloured logo like the Konsum one would add interest to a car/truck that probably came from the factory in a pale colour.

And she looks to be progressing very well, Pat ... Or, at least, as well as a Trabant can "progress" ;)  ;D  .

Hi,
Thanks.  Unfotunately I'll be out of town this week on business so I won't get a chance to post anything new for a while.

That's ok, we can wait.

Not for long, and not very patiently, but you can't have everything...  ;)

Safe travels.

Hi,
Sorry that I haven't posted an update in awhile.  I've been making progress but have several small things still to do bfore I can put everything together.  In particular, I prepainted the cabin interior side pieces but when I installed them there was a visible seem between them and the rest of the body shell that I needed to putty, which now needs a little touch up before I can finish off the cabin.

On the other hand I did put together a wooden segment for the bed floor as shown below.  I just need to try and trim it to shape and then also add a tailgate to finish off that part of the build.

Once I get that done I will also need to clean up the wheels and do a little bottom detailing. [:)]

It is coming together!
Is this the exterior colour painted too? Looks pretty authentic to me.
Is the wood real wood or painted plastic?

Old Wombat

That's coming together very nicely, indeed!

The red part on the underside is near to the original used material ..  that project could be original from GDR , a car like that would be very useful that days ... I remember that streets of the country ,
It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.  The decking is bass wood stained with some stuff that I bought from a craft store  called Varathane (with some thin strips of platic between the wood planks).

Yes, a classic Trabant colour (or the only one?) But the white roof is a decadent western luxury item, would never have been approved in the good ol' days...
