Only one boy of around 15 or 16 stood there the whole time, literally open mouthed looking at the naked girl.

pffft, naked girl, there might be another 1970's Matchbox Harrier on the bargain table, get out of my way!

Awesome show! Thank you very much, Tom!

Congratulatons to everybody, especially those deemed worthy of a Whiffie.

I can easily believe it was mostly a series of close-run votes, the selections were exceptional!

Somehow I ended up in my own bed, in my own pyjamas, next to my own wife .......... Bugger! :-\  ..... Oh, well, better luck next time!

Best Back Story?  Now, that was a Whiffie I was not expecting to win! :o Thanks, guys!

My thanks to the academy for their sterling work,  to all those who contributed and most of all to yourselves for making  the show such a great success

Those attending were particularly well behaved this year, with only one item of lost property;  a length of thin twine found stretching from the car park through several corridors to the actual venue.

Oh, and would the person who arranged for the  vast clouds of gently perfumed rose coloured smoke to emerge from the cisterns of the ladies retiring room closets please get in touch with the Oscar award staff as they wish to adopt this feature for their production.

Now there's a subject for thread drift if ever I saw one!   :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Marvellous work by all, contributers, nominators and the readership who voted. Surely some very worthy nods to great builds.

Also, terrific work TomZ on setting this up. I can just imagine the amount of work into collating all this then formatting to the extremely high standard, which with limited forum tools is quite an achievement in itself.
Awesome everyone

Thank you Tom! And thank you to the Academy!

Good morning everyone,

I am late to the event, but a big appreciation for hosting this and setting all the procedures up up front.
And congratulations to all the winners in specific but also to all nominees (and their nominators) who make this huge and diverse field of contenders possible, and so hard to choose from.
It's a honor to be part of alll this!

Thanks a lot, and now: party on!!

Well done everyone and thanks for voting those who did.

I'm sorry I didn't make it.  My suit pants got tangled in the chain of someone else bicycle and i ended up being dragged 50 km in the wrong direction before ending up in one of THOSE cafes.  At which point...well it would have been rude to refuse and you know how one thing leads to another...

All I remember was this second menu, a smoky atmosphere, and a lot of doughnuts...

Couldn't make it either....
I slipped on the ice and fell on my backside just outside my front door. My instincts far falling, from karate practice many moons ago, kicked in so no bones were broken, but the tuxedo was ruined. Good to see that it was a lively event.

Congratulations to all of the winners, nominees and Tom for hosting.

Funny to think this crazy idea I had back in 2008 is still going strong.
