You are absolute right Wombat , the shape of the centre plus the tailwings looks like a 50's  sci-fi rocket spaceship .
Silver is not the badest Color for that thing ...
Not bad for another coming project

Maybe I call it Heinkolev 111  , or Tupokel  ?

It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

Or you could call it Junkers EF-151, as it looks very much like the designs the Junkers team led by Brunolf Baade created in their russian captivity.

Looks very elegant, love it.   I am just not certain about the exhaust stubs on the turboprop-esque engines?

Maybe , sometimes .... it could be possible that Whatif  includes small amounts of nonsens

After all, it's your design!

Personally, I like to occasionally include large amounts of nonsense.

And you do it so well!

I have a bomber like that in my stash ....

Yesterday I was doing the Frankenstein job , made the crew , three dudes custom made from different parts , plastics surgery in 1:72 scale .

There was a article in a modell magazine in 1978 which I found very inspiring at that time .
I did it yesterday the first time since 1980 .

The third one standing should look throug the door from behind , i don't know how to fix him there ...

Bomb Navigator is now on his knees, just moving forward , and the pilot is turned to the right side .

Annoying about the original silver, but the grey looks good, too.

For the figure; could you maybe put a pin through the cockpit bulkhead (cutting it flush with the wall) and then through his chest/arm?
That'd pin him in place without having to make all sorts of complicated supports.

He looks almost as if he's advising the pilot he needs to head to the Facilities rather quickly... or is that just me? (yeah, it's probably just me... ;D )

Nope not just you - "Skip I need the bog rather quick, where is it again ?"  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I found a good solution , i cut his feet and sand the front of his legs flat , than used a UHU Universal plastic glue with a big drop on the legs , later i can use some additional super glue.

After painting the crew with valejo i use that very good varnish  .  Primer was only mat white from revell .

VERY realistic crew members there!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
