The plan to add stripes on the fuel tank sounds good. Maybe the rear mud guard too?

So did you paint it white, then mask up the stripes with the 0.5 mm tape, and then paint it red? Or did you paint it red and the stripes ARE the 0.5 mm tape?

I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Must admit I quite often use those 0.5mm and 1.0mm strips of tape for canopy frames on heavily framed canopies.

Yes.  That way.

On the tank however I will need to mask it and then put down white stripes.  Wish me luck.

I restricted myself to just a couple of stripes on the tank.  I would have liked a couple on the mudguard but masking it would have been too difficult.  I should really have done it before I fitted the thing.

Sometimes you have to have a go to prove to yourself it really isn't a good idea.   ;D

I still have to scratchbuild a sidecar seat and a pair of exhausts.
