Definitely has a Handley Page look to it Dave and dude this rocks  ;D  ;D
Watching this with keen interest I will  <_<
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Gives me an idea for the Avro Shackleton

Quote from: mexchiwa on March 25, 2024, 12:46:22 PMOh, bicycle gear on a WW I bomber would be an awful idea.  I just thought it'd be fun, show a little more of the BUFF heritage, even if there is no good reason for it

Oh I don't know, some of the very early Antoinettes and Curtis pushers had tricycle gear  ;)  Just call it the Curtis Buff  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

As long as the wheels have spokes you can use bicycle or tricycle.........

This would look much better as a tail sitter ..to me anyway it would look strange sitting on a tricycle landing gear...and it would look more in tune with WW1 heavy bombers ..like the 0400 .

Oddly enough the B-52 Standby Alert aircraft was supposed to be fitted with turboprop engines.

The real Buff had four main gear so four sets of spoke wheels could be interesting......

It would look like a wagon with wings!

I love it, especially the back to back Bristol Fighter engines. The Vickers Vimy had wire mesh guards to protect the crew from prop wash and bits of ice and I'd go for Handley Page 0/400 type undercarriage. Is the tail unit ex Avro 504? Turning into quite some kit bash.

Weekend update:

Cockpit was moved to the rear. a little saver for Peter pilot... And the vertical tails were replaced to get real billboard size.
Maingear was glued on as 2x 2 wheel sets under the wings. Makes it look a little traditional. Rear gear is a skate plus damper.

Competition for the German R-Planes.

Linke- Hoffman R.II drawings in 1/72nd with an
F-16XL for reference. The R.II had four engines
ganged together driving the single propeller.

Will the paint be overall gunship grey?
I'm sure you have something more interesting!

I'd like to see USAF SEA scheme on a biplane.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
