See that the real annoying part..I want one
.or the body of one and then proceed to go nuts on it..turn it into a modern version..wide body with F1 wheels ..nicely stylish wings but keeping the beautiful lines of the car .
Wide body but not stupid wide ..ive already got the vision in my head  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

This reminds me of an episode from "The Saint", with a young Rodger Moore where someone was trying to knobble a racing car which was a frame with a shell on it. There was supposed to be something special about the frame that was supposed to make it a racewinner.

I've got a couple of Gunze-Sangyo kits in the stash.
A '48 Ford convertible which has a very underscale Cammer engine as an option, and a Beetle which can be built either stock or as a front engined Hemi powered drag car.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Shelby built one a bit like that later on. It had a longer wheelbase and a larger bonnet bulge to clear the 351's intakes.

It sold for ZILLIONS at some auction in the US a couple of years go.  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It's all about the cachet of the Name - doesn't matter if it looks like a brick, goes like an asthmatic turtle, or steers like a cow; someone will be willing to pay silly money for it.

Luckily, or through good engineering, the Daytona did none of those things and blew the doors off the competing Ferraris.

Enzo was apparently MOST upset, and it was the start of the rot for Ferrari as far as Le Mans was concerned.

Last year, 2023, was the first time they'd won since 1965!  :o

May I refer you to the Bentley Motors  advert in the Times in late June 2003.

After winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930, Bentley Motors withdrew to allow  others to win.  We have  returned in 2003 to remind the motoring public  that we are still the masters of Le Mans.  We will once more  withdraw for a while.

And did they ever! I've got a slot racing Bentley Speed 8, but it's not as quick (relatively....) as the real thing sadly, but it looks great!  ;D
