Step two ... Some Interieur , and the high tech construction of the rear axle 😜 .

Front axle is the Nr.4 left over from the sdkfz.232  . That needs some more work to fit in.

I make a sh.... mistake with the axles , they are not at the same space front/ rear , so i have to cut the rear one on each side and place a spacer in .  Therefore i need the help of a buddy at the club meeting tomorrow evening .

The track construction went very well but each part needs a lot of fine work at the details ..

I'm curious to see what goes into the cockpit. Somehow, I'm not sure that a steering wheel would be quite right.

That's a good suggestion ,  but the basic dashboard is mounted in place .
I will try my best , and not shure if i would place the pilot in the cockpit or beside the vehicle .

Steering wheel can work, you just need to use hydraulics for the steering brake & clutch systems linked to the steering wheel.

I didn't think of that.... Hydraulics in 1920s (and after) should be feasible, unless it can work purely mechanically.

It would be perfectly feasible to have a mechanical linkage connected to the steering wheel which operated brakes to steer the thing.
And you don't need to show it, just tell us it's there.

Bugatti could choose another way , they don't control the brakes , instead they use one engine bank for every side of the transmission and control each accelerator with mechanical levers
