The Wooksta!

Having checked the box of bits, there are indeed a load of those tanks in resin, plus cockpit internals for two Spitfires.

Some Spitfires could still be seen with them later on. I guess they were used for ferrying purpose, as seen on this Spitfire HF. IXe delivered to Denmark in may 1948.

Late production 9e or 16e with the cutdown rear fuselage, and given the clipped wing, it likely has the rear fuselage tank fitted.
Interestingly it still has the fishtail exhausts but 3 spoke hub wheels.

The HF designation refers to the engine, not it's role per se.

RAF serial TE233. Became 41-434 in danish service. Delivered 29/5-48. Out of service 13/4-51.
