The Republic of Australia Space Navy Fleet Aerospace Arm detachment on the Space Battleship Yamato operate both the Type 99 Cosmo Falcon and Type 0 Cosmo Zero single seat space fighters.  Pictured here is the Type 99.

The Cosmo Falcon is powered by twin magnetically constricted turbo plasma anti fusion rocket jet engines capable of operating in vacuum or a variety of atmospheres.  It is equipped with both thrusters and fluid-dynamic control surfaces to facilitate manoeuvring in whatever environment it finds itself and  is engineered to pull up to 23 Earth standard Gee depending on its pilot (human, adapted human, cyborg, android, uploaded human consciousness, Mind...).

Fixed armament consists of a pair of 23mm kinetic railcannon mounted under the cockpit and a pair of 56 petawatt pulse plasma blasters mounted under the nose.  The railcannons are capable of firing a wide range of ammunition types all of have Determined Range Termination Technology (DRaTT!) built in to ensure rounds which miss their target don't just keep on going and going until they eventually hit something.
A variety of munitions can be carried in two ventral internal weapons bays and on underwing hardpoints.

The Model.

1/72 Bandai Type 99 Space Fighter Attack Craft Cosmo Falcon built OOB and then dropped resulting in the under nose probes being replaced with new guns.
Paint scheme is based on that of RW RAN FAA Skyhawks with the colours flipped.
Home made roundels, all other transfers from the kit.

I enjoyed building this.  Once I got my head around Bandai's almost snap together kit design and figured out how to paint and build it in an order which got the result I wanted (experience building Bandai Gundam helped as did wanting a patchy final look as though panels had been weathered differently and or replaced).
I also have a Type Zero Cosmo Zero in my stash plus Star Wars Y and B Wings.  All 1/72 Bandai and all I suspect building up in a similar way.
I'm looking forward to them.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Captain Canada

Very nice. For sure, those Bandai kits are nice. I've got loads of Star Wars kits I was buying when I was working in the US. Couldn't resist hitting Hobby Lobby almost daily with the 50% off coupon !

Cheers

Cool!

Needs a 'Kiwi Zap' from a stray ground crew member... just saying...  ;D

That looks good!

Pretty sure I've got something like that in the back of the stash somewhere. I went on a buying spree of Anime spaceships back in the days when they were cheap on ebay...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nice. Somehow manages to look modern and retro at the same time.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
