Hmmm, what to build.  It needs to be a kit with exemplary fit whiffed in a way which will avoid much PSR, and painted in a simple scheme.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

So not an Airfix Stirling then? ;)

I might have a go at the RN Skydiver project I intended to do last year before Events ("events, dear boy, events"- bonus points if you know who said that) intervened. Nothing got done on it so it's still as legal now as it was then. Not making any promises though: my aunt's house in on the market now so I have no idea how much time I'll have that week until, well, that week.

I'm going for something straight out of the box

I wouldn't participate, anyway - I have trouble completing a single figure in a week, let alone an entire kit!

However, even if I wanted to, Life has thrown up a fun challenge over the next few months - my wife started chemo on Friday.

The oncologists weren't going to do anything unless/until the tumours became symptomatic, but, on closer examination by a peer review team, they realised that the largest tumour was leaning against her right femoral artery & vein. Therefore, to reduce the risk it poses to the circulation in her leg they decided that shrinking the tumour before it caused any issues was the wiser path.

So, starting Friday just gone*, every Friday morning & an hour(ish) every Saturday morning for the next few weeks is going to be spent at the hospital while she gets an infusion of chem's.

After the first month it drops back to one chemo cycle per month.

It also buggers up her 60th in mid-June & puts going over to see our second grandchild in jeopardy when he/she is born (soon) because chemo = very weakened immune system & Wombat Minor is a 2yo Germ Bomb, like most children his age.

Anyway: No, I won't be participating. ;)

[*: Last Friday was the longest session, being the first day, & the poor ol' girl was stuck in the chair for 8 hours being infused, she took it surprisingly well, really.]

I managed to produce this a couple of years ago

So basic colour scheme and as few parts counts as possible.

Not entering this year as I need to have a workbench to model from.

I'm sorry to hear that Guy, I hope the treatment goes well for your wife.  I'm in a similar situation with mine.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Here's to biting off more than you can chew.
I haven't finished one yet, sometimes I haven't even got started.  No idea what to do this time, I'm sure I'll make it far too complicated.

Pls accept  my best wishes for both of your families.

I... I don't have anything.  I have multiple unstarted kits, but they're all dedicated to projects.  Real world projects.  I have whiffs but they're started and beyond.

Oh my, I don't recall this ever happening before.

Old Wombat, hoping for the best for the better part of you.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I hope everyone's loved ones get better. Dealing with this kind of crap is a real PITA.

Sorry to hear it Wombat - I've seen somebody go through chemo many years ago, and that was no fun at all (she was very scared of needles, just to add to the fun), however I'm told that they've got MUCH better at it since then and the impact and side effects are much reduced nowadays. Best wishes, patience and courage to your good lady and yourself.
