Quote from: Rheged on June 21, 2024, 01:05:44 PMWould this wondrous machine be the fabled Auto Union "Sleipnir"  ?     Rumours of its existence  have occasionally surfaced, but you appear to  have  become the first person to accurately identify  this elusive  automobile!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for that nice suggestion

But also I think about a Red Baron design with a snoopy face ...

In Norse mythology, Sleipnir is an eight-legged horse ridden by Odin.
It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

Just some little steps more on the car.

Wheels and axles are complete, but they will be fixed after the first paint ( what could need some time .. ) .

It got a tail now 😁 .

I started with the roll cage , glued some parts of sprues together in the correct size, i hope ..

That was not easy .
The cage parts broke in pieces when i tried to put them on the car, the buddy in the next seat ( at the club meeting) helped me to get it on with super glue immediately! Nice job.

Then i cut the second part in the wrong direction,  have to glue it together and wait some days to continue, not so much time for that in the summer.

Today i finished the cage and i am Happy 😜 .

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

I'm not a car "buff" at all and know nothing at all about them, but I just love the way that looks. so brutal  You wouldn't want to argue with it, that's for sure  ;)
