To be direct (us Finns are known for not understanding the concept of "small talk") your entry was a little difficult to vote for because there were four models in it. I like a couple of them very much but a couple of others were not quite to my taste. Also, the photo here in the voting thread was probably not the best among the ones you posted in the completed entries.

Anyway... Thank you for being a Mod for the build AND producing some entries!

It is my SOP to use the first photo the builder posted in the completed builds thread.  I base this on the assumption that the builder will use the picture they think puts their build in the best light first.  It also ensures I can't be accused of picking the wrong picture.

At the time I was having problems with Imgur App and getting very impatient so as a compromise I decided to group all my builds together leaving the option of looking at the work in progress for the person who was doing the voting as a reference point.
If I ever get the chance to have multiple builds in the future they will be loaded separately.

Thanks everyone, glad the Tophe Air Cargo DC-6 was well received.  Well done mods.

Sorry for the delay, was on an epic 3 week Europe jaunt.   Malta was a surprise jem for me.

Six years ago I spent a week on Gozzo (plus a couple of days in Valletta). Amazing place! So packed with history! I'd go back in the blink of an eye, if I could afford it.

Coming from the USA I only had a cursory understanding of the history and culture of Malta (primary related to holding out during WW2), but boy was I overwhelmed by the history and culture going through the ages!  We were only there for a day (cruise ship) and I took the hop-on, hop-off bus to explore a bit.  The bus drove over the remains of a runway and I immediately recognized the runway and aprons as former military (had to look it up, the ex-fighter strip at former RAF Ta Kali) and grabbed a beer right next to the bombed out Opera house in the center of Valletta.  Now used as an open air theatre- which I thought as a perfect middle finger to the Axis.

I'm almost finished listening to the audio book of "One Man's Window" (AKA Malta Spifire Pilot) by Denis Barnham.  He was an artist and Spitfire Pilot who spent 10 weeks of 1942 flying Spitfres from Malta.
It's a fascinating book.  He eloquently describes Malta and is open about what he perceives as his personal shortcomings as a leader and fighter pilot (despite claiming 6 1/2 kills while on the island).

There's so much to learn in those sort of places. When my wife and I were in Jerusalem we hardly touched the surface.

I'm a born and bred Londoner, but when some American friends were over a few years ago I learnt things about my own city simply by taking them around the sites, and aas a child I was very lucky as my dad used to take me out and about "Up Town" on a sunday.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It kind of blew my mind in London when the tour guide pointed out that at least one corner of the Tower of London is built on a Roman wall.

There's a car park near the former site of the Museum of London (by London Wall and Aldersgate Street, close to the Barbican) with a section of the Roman wall forming part of the back wall of its basement floor.

There's still a fair amount of the wall to see - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Wall.
