First entry, and work has already begun this morning. This will be an interwar biplane project, based on an ICM Ki-10 kit with some mods (spats!) and a VERY bright livery. Should look very pretty once it's done. Ambitious, but, hey, it's a WHOLE week of time...

A week?! You should have three or four done in that time, going by your usual completion rate!  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Results after Day #1; the Ki-10 is a beautiful and very sleek aircraft, and while I want to keep as much of that as possible I decided to add a bit more speed to the overall look. Therefore the upper wing was cut and modified so that the now gull-shaped wings could be directly attached to the fuselage, similar to a Polikarpov I-153:

Propeller was also modifed to accept a metal axis, as ususal. The cockpit was - according to color pics from museum a P-12 and P-26, in a light grey, with a full-metal seat, and the pilot recieved a headrest (piece of sprue and PSR) to change the lines a bit and offer some protection in case of a somersault on the ground.

Mounting the wings without fixation aids/points was not easy...

...but eventually worked, and it looks good!   The (modified) wings´ struts/supports were added next, and the machine will furthermore receive a more streamlined landing gear with singe struts and spats, IIRC left over from a Hasegawa SOC. These required proper attachment points on the hull, so that I had to add the small bulges in front of the lower wing roots.

Some detail work and PSR still to do, but painting stage is already approaching fast - still a long way to go, though!

Yep..Dizzy doing a epic build again and moving like lighting at the same time  ;D  :o
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

The real world Curtiss XP-22 led to the P-6E via a very convoluted path involving the YP-11/YP-20. ;D
The earlier Curtiss XP-10 had a gulled upper wing like Dizzy's model, and a slight inverted gull on
the lower wing.

 :o  :o

Seriously it would take me a week to get the yellow wings looking anywhere near that good, and I'm only half joking.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
