Hmm choices, choices. An airfield in Warwickshire or the Dorset coast.

Dorset here I come!
Good food some drink (non alcoholic of course) and hopefully some decent weather
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Hmmm, maybe a possibility..............

Hoping to attend, but not as a trader this year.

Thanks,

Planning to attend, but if my aunt's house needs viewing that day, then it'll have to take priority. Pretty low risk of that though.

Kit: in case you do make it, I'll bring that gliding book along.

Okay, I think I'm good to come.

So what's the role call? Who else is coming?

Well that was fun - hassle-free drive, good show and a good natter with the lads on the stall. Restrained myself to only buying bargains and got quite a few.

Interesting demonstration of radio anaprop (anomalous propagation) on the journey:

Going down at about 8:30am, I could pick up station XS Manchester (106.1FM) as far south as Keele services, about 40 miles from their transmitter.
That's unusually far. It normally gets unlistenable about 10 miles north of there.

On the way back, at about 7pm, the radio couldn't lock onto XS until the Tabley Interchange (M6 J19), about 15 miles from the transmitter.
That's unusually short: about half the normal distance.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

The Cov Show pics, first of all the whole SIG stand itself.

And then individual areas of it to see the models in greater detail.

Then a few of particular models on the SIG stand.

And the public debut of the Scimitar FB2.  ;D Together with an Italian friend...........

Some Whiffs from elsewhere in the show.

And for me the 'star' Whiff of the show, this 1/48 TSR2 with 1/72 Vulcan wings, overwing 'winders and an amazing digital camo scheme!

All in all it was a great event, although actually getting there pushed my endurance somewhat as they closed the M5 northbound meaning I got there about an hour later than intended!
