FAR148

To help alleviate the US Navy Super Hornet problem and to diversify its Air Wings, the Department of Defense purchased 200 Rafales. The only changes made were to their canopies. All USN Rafales canopies are hinged in the rear and open vertically. This one, the last Rafale delivered to the USN is assigned to VX-4 "The Evaluators" based at NAS Point Mugu.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks great!
I was wondering why the last one went to "The Evaluators". They were evaluating weapon systems and tactics, and not so much the aircraft, but still.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It is a play on USN aviation history. The last F-14 ever built, spent her entire life at Point Mugu, as Vandy 1.

Thanks again,
Steven
