Quote from: kerick on August 16, 2024, 07:54:44 PMWorst part was the contortions getting to the valves to work on them. My back and hip are a real pain in my a$$ for a couple of days after stuff like that. Literally.

I can get down reasonably easily, it's the getting up again that's the problem   :banghead:

Got back from vacation yesterday. I'm going to try and paint something today before my wife gets home and informs of what we will do instead.

There's always a 'Honey-Do List' waiting... especially after a trip.

I have plans that nobody can change until the wife says otherwise 🤷  ;D

Lucky you don't have a wife, hey. ;D

Or have you snuck one in while I wasn't watching?

Actually got some paint sprayed this morning! Huzzah!!
Medium green 34102. Next will be dark green then black and something else. I'm going with the MERDC tropical pattern. I'm going to try to spray on any markings and avoid the clear coats and decal routine. I bought some NATO black for the road wheel tires and tracks.

I have seen some of the AK paint markers last weekend; the Rubber Black one in particular will probably follow me home, when my supplier gets some in.
Not too sure they are much use for solid areas, you'd still have to do the detail parts either separately or paint around them carefully, but for tyres they look to be most useful.

The NATO black looks really good. I've been painting the tracks and road wheels tonight. Boring.......  I might try the next shade of green tomorrow. I'll have to do the masking first, yuk.

Here's what it looks like in green. I've been painting the road wheels and tracks too. I hope this enamel rust and silver plus the acrylic NATO black stick properly to these rubber band tracks.

I've been trying to apply the darker green but it's one thing after another in this house. I have to spray right after applying the putty mask as it tends to flatten out and even run if at an angle. I'm not sure this brand is going to work out. I might go back to silly putty.

Is it hot there Ken ??
My AK Interactive putty runs to when it's hot ..it drips 😆
Even though it's pretty damn slow even when it's hot .
