Options and Priorities are allowed to differ... it's what stops the scariness of us all being the same...  :o

Commando, Warlord and Battle Action in my Yoof... later, Sisters' 2000AD.

In my case it was Look and Learn (I read Trigan Empire then skimmed the rest), Battle Action, 2000AD, Deadline, and occasionally Heavy Metal when I could afford it.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

In my case the whole sequence of Robin, Swift and Eagle (little sister got Girl for a while, then scrounged my Eagle)  and occasional Look and Learn.

That's something for me to do over the holidays, dig out my Footrot Flats books and re-read them.

Steak and cheese ? Not a combination I'd considered nor even heard of until a recent episode of "Brokenwood" when they were arguing over which was the best pie filling  ;D  Steak and mushroom, steak and onion or steak and kidney for me

Steak and onion ..can't honestly say I've seen one here in a bakery ..normally we have fried onions with steak in a dinner ...fried onions...taste so good and sweet 😋 😍

One time I was in London and had some steak and ale pie at a pub. Excellent!

A great deal depends on your butcher and his sources of supply.   Our village has a first rate chap who uses locally reared Hereford beef to produce steak and  (locally brewed) ale, steak and mushroom and snake and pygmy  sorry, steak and kidney pies.    On the other hand, a pub in Birmingham did manage to serve a friend of mine an  "unidentifiable gristle and over-salty, anaemic  gravy"   pie last week.

That said, there are some unexpected items to which an appropriate cheese is a good partner.........apple pie, smoked salmon,  Christmas cake  etc.   Further suggestions welcome.

You have to stop throwing dessert tips around like this! My cancer medication meddles with my insulin values, so I shouldn't really have any dessert at all, but that is NOT getting any easier around you lot!  ;)
