I'd like to see a version with Jack and Teal'c in Plus Fours and swinging golf clubs, but that's probably a little obscure...  ;)

Nah. I'm in for it.  ;D

I'm pretty sure wargaming figures of SG1 would be available should you want to have 3D people.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

there used to be a set in 28mm  ( i have them) but the company got a cease and desist from appropriate lawyers  :(
im not certain if there are any currently.
but for generic US Marines, Army and spec forces,  empress miniatures in the UK do several line.
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

The whole world's gone well over-greedy. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

hadn't thought of those ,my self  :banghead:    and i may even have them stashed away some where....

the problem is that if a company dosnt defend the copyrights they hold, for everything small, then they will not be able to do it with the large things...  and then   :banghead:

Very cool! And nice to see they've included 'Hammond of Texas'.

I have an Elheim set in 20mm of generic 'US Special Forces with P-90s' and a 'Cosplayer with Pugil Stick', so I'm sorted - but thanks.

And thanks for the kind words, folks.

Yeah - and the ones they usually have to squelch are the fans who want to play in the universe, either with fanfic or selling bits for cosplay.
Greed rears its' head again.

1/72 A4-K Skyhawk, Commemorative Scheme **What If**

Not much of a back story, I just thought a Squawk in a special scheme was a good enough idea to model.
The Air Force never did anything like this in the RW, which I think is a shame; but for whatever reason - budget, they were being gotten rid of, whatever - they never did.

Kit is a standard Italeri, using the F version fin modification part included in the box.
The undercarriage doors were glued shut and filled where necessary, various lumps and aerials were removed and others added where appropriate.

The kit refueling probe was always going to be prone to damage, so I replaced it with a piece of wire inserted into a hole drilled in the fuselage and passed through and glued to the inside of the opposite half. I then added the tip of the kit part to it.

There was no ordnance in the kit, not even pylons, so those on the model came from the spares box.
The pilot also, though he was cobbled up from an Airfix torso and head on another set of legs.

Brushed coats of Vallejo paints for the Blues and GW for the white. A coat of clear and then the markings were applied.

Old Models Decals 1/144 Corsair roundels, as these looked to be better proportioned than 1/72 ones would have; WW2 style fin flashes from spares and others from a very old sheet which has markings for all of the Skyhawks that were still extant when it came out.

The roundels had to be cut in places to go over the vortex generators on the upper wings, but an artist's acrylic blue was a pretty good match for touching up of the spikes.
I painted the nose black, both to depict the radar equipment fit and because it would give more of the impression of a radial-engined Corsair.

Then a brushed coat of Gunze Flat Clear, which stripped some bits of the paint job back down to the sprayed white undercoat... however, the markings weren't affected and the paint was carefully (and successfully) patched – disaster averted.

I scratch built a base and glued in enough lead nail heads to keep it from overbalancing.
Stand wire is a section of a knitting needle. I printed out most of the different Roundels the Air Force has used over the years, glued them onto card and cut them out, then attached them to the base along with a plaque explaining the reason for the colour scheme.

I may possibly add a smoke trail from cotton wool, as well. Maybe later.

Of course, this could be the start of a Theme; a Strikemaster in P-40 or P-51 markings, an Andover or Hercules in C-47 markings, an Airtrainer or Texan 2 in WW2 Harvard Camouflage and Yellow; the possibilities are many.
But someone else will have to pick that idea up and run with it, as I have what I want.
