Here are the figures.
But no shots of them completed... ah well, I'll address that later.

That's come out really well mate

I like the idea of using net curtains stiffend with paint for the mesh, mind you those under a certain age would probably have no idea what net curtains are/were  Blinds seem to be all the thing nowadays, around my way anyway.

Thanks, Fellas.
Yeah, I still prefer curtains. Old School.
And they're better at keeping the warmth in/out.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Rick Lowe

True.

On a brighter topic, here's some shots of the completed troops.

They came out a little darker than I intended, which is entirely due to the 'Just a little more wash - oops, too much' procedure.
I might give the flesh areas a quick drybrush at a later stage.

Hey, remember back in the early days of this blog, when I promised you some shots of the completed Bay Super V?
Yeah, I didn't...
Here are some now.

That's a neat little bird, I love it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

1/72 Avia S-199 Israeli Air Force 'David's Mule' **Real World**

The Messerschmitt 109 airframe, produced post-WW2 in Czechoslovakia but re-engined with a Jumo 211, due to the Daimler Benz engine stock being lost in a fire.

I started with the KP kit, but I wasn't happy with it so looked for another source for the airframe.
The Revell kit is very nice, but has the larger cowl bulges so that wouldn't work.
I settled on the Academy kit, as the boxings for the late models have most of the details I wanted.
The KP nose was removed and attached to the Academy kit, with the Academy exhausts and the cowl mg part grafted in.
The KP rudder was glued on and the fin made taller.
The cockpit received a little extra detailing.
I used the KP propeller and spinner, and scraped a bit of concave curve into the rear faces of the prop blades.
The canopy gave me some fit issues due to the new nose, but with a new curved panel under the front of the screen and some filling with a paint/talc mix, I was able to make it work.

Paint is Model Master enamel.

The markings are straight from an old Tasman sheet, though I painted the rudder stripes as I wasn't sure the transfer would fit correctly.
