an interesting match indeed !  ;) I d quite a bit of dry fitting of that kind to see what could work

but I will not be exploiting it, as I have other combinations in mind, with constraints on the engines ...

if you feel like pursuing it, please go ahead  ;D

ericr

so, more ingredients

and progress :

the BV141 will be combined with the Lightning T55,
accomodating quite a few observation posts (maybe one of the Hunter noses?),
and the wings of the Meteor

and the remainders will be prepared in complementary fits :
BV141 fuselage with Hunter wings
and Hunter fuselage with Lightning wings (and intake)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

That promises to be weird and weirdier and weirdier etc...
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Wow, I just want to dive into that glorious mess and start putting things together!

 ;D  ;D  ;D

so, some progress today :

the BV141 fuselage with Hunter wings got smoothed with thin plastic sheet (coming from vacformed sails of a sailboat kit)

and the He-70 should receive the BV141 wings, while its wings will go to the Meteor,

whose wings are on the BV141&Lightning, the Lightning's ones being on the Hunter :
it is a quite circular exchange

I use custom holders for some of the delicate glue drying process

and the Hunter received the Lightning's intake, while I still hesitate about  :

 - using the Hunter's tail (or would it be a flying wing?)

 - using the other Hunter cockpit on the BV141&Lightning, which would make it
even a bit more baroque (but Tophe was sometimes baroque, wasn't he ?)

Robomog

The BV141 cockpit and Hunter wings were made for each other

Keen to see how these come out

I love to play with bits and pieces in parallel for several builds, trying to maximize the pieces used  ;D

Glad to see someone else uses clothes pegs as clamps  ;)

And me  ;D Why change a system that works just because it's considered old fashioned ?
