I just downloaded pics of solar panels for future reference.

I uploaded a small PDF to Dropbox of the 60 cell solar panel

The typical 60 cell panel is 39" x 66" (0.99m x 1.68m). In 1/35, it would be 27.5mm x 47.9mm

kerick

Would that work out better if you printed it as a photo or document?

It's not grayscale, so printing it as a document should work

Though a photo would get you the semi gloss effect straight away, and it'd not need gluing to sheet to stiffen it.

Now I have to think of a project requiring solar panels!

Rick - they're printed on photo paper, just semi-gloss, not glossy. They're fairly stiff but not scale accurate (should be around 1mm thick).

I redid the panel supports; I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Ken - print a sheet and store it for when you have a project that needs it! The panels have a white section near the edges that is aluminum colored on the real thing. You can just trim them away, just leaving the panels.

I think I'm done!

Not too dirty; just some road dust and mud. I scratch-built the walls between the cabin and truck box/office; they would flip down as needed. The cable cutter at the nose looks a bit too complicated, but maybe it contains instruments to detect mines or something. There's a 3D printed winch (that I made for a Land Rover build) over the cab. I made a rough mask for the Ukrainian cross ID and painted it on with an AK pen (I'm not getting a kickback from them. I wish...)

I printed the sensor ball, but the drone detect/disable EW array is from the Magic Factory MRZR kit:

Other side with our French mechanic for scale. I left the large Diesel tank, since the generator will need fuel:

The solar panels would generate about 1000W - 1200W on a sunny day.

20KWh Generator and fuel pump. The generator, fire extinguisher and antenna mount are 3D printed. I also have a small printed video camera in the upper right:

Party time! The sensor ball has some Tamiya Interference tape on the lenses and so does the self driving/3D terrain scanner in front of the cab. This was inspired by all the Waymo driverless Taxis in my neighborhood; I see at least one a day (they also used my 'hood to train the cars):

I also started on an interior, but it exceeded my motivation budget. The doors to the truck box are only glued in place with acrylic glue, so I can open them at any time. There's a bathroom, some equipment lockers, a table and bunk beds:

This has been a long, but enjoyable project. It's also very, very heavy.

That's an awesome build! Great planning and use of 3D parts!

I've got a project in mind for this spare HEMTT chassis I've got ...and as we all know the kits wheels are rubbish so I went looking for replacement ones ...well prices are stupid now so I thought what about the M1070 HET wheels ...holy crap!!!
Prices are even worse 😫
This idea might have to wait quite some time ..bugger 😐

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Terrific build    Thanks for posing the figures, gives me an idea of the size of the beast.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
