Working on a GB elsewhere, so using some unused bits from previous builds, the Missile Launcher components of the Trumpeter SA-6 Gainful and pre-loved good ol' Tamiya T-62 chassis, where the turret was also used elsewhere.

Bit of a test build as size matters and went for it

The turrety bit of the SA-6 was missing/used elsewhere so a new version was designed up on MS 3D builder and printed on my 3D Printer

Nope.. didn't cut it.. so a few more iterations to get it somewhere near where it needed to be

Got to the stage where it was suitable enough, so added some bits

Which leaves us here - Transport Mode

Launch Mode

I am a bit further along more updates shortly.

Looks infinitely more survivable than some of the GM-578 chassis it normally gets mounted on

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A few bits and bobs missing from the missile sprues/parts stash that may or may not have either been used on other projects or moved to the modelling alternate universe via the bottomless spares box and/or carpet monster.

Nonetheless, proceeding to the Paint shop next.. this is about it, the last few bits and pieces

Looking good.
I've got a T54 SPAAG to build some time.  Big gun though rather than missiles.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Initial paint work.

Finnish T-55 esque splinter scheme. I figured that it makes sense, well to me anyway, that the splinter scheme follows through this series of MBT chassis

Decals underway at the moment, then a touch of weathering.

Dude that looks fan-bloody-tastic 😍 😁

So goodbye Tamiya T-62 with a "forget what brand" BDD conversion set in the Afghan comapaign now it is rebuilt as a Finnish T-62 with SA-6.
Total outlay for the rebuild ? Zero :D . All from bits left over from other builds or that have been reused for other builds, some in stock plastic card plus a bit of 3D printer Design time and some printer filament.

Some generic Finland Decals from the decals box, light weathering and that is is

Weaver

That looks great - nice one!

Good job BB.

Would it be a stand alone system or would there have to be another vehicle with it with radar?
