The Wooksta!

If you were bothered and bored enough to read my blog last year, you may remember I'd done some work on a Heinkel He 343 found lurking in the back of a drawer.  Anyway, last night saw the cockpit painted and all the bits got added earlier.
Canopy ready to go on and then it's time for some masking.

Pics will follow in due course.

The Wooksta!

Taken around June last year, after a quick dusting and cleanup with a damp cloth, then a coat of primer.

You cannot view this attachment.

It got a coat of RLM84 for some reason and got left to gather dust again.  Cue Saturday when I made a start on getting the cockpit sorted.

The kit control column decided to fly elsewhere so I scraped one from some wire and an Italeri 188 yoke.

Now with the canopy on.  Dry fitted here but it's since been superglued into place.  Need some filler and then masking.

The wheels have been painted too.

Gondor

A derivative of the Ar 234 or something completely different?

Excellent.  Add props and it could almost be a Viscount.

Ar 234 scaled up a bit, can't remember the percentage.  Fuselage cross section is different though.

Arado did something similar for the E.395.  If you re-engine a 48th Ar 234B you have a basis.

Upper colours are likely to be 82/83 splinter and KG 51 markings, albeit with overpainted RAF roundels and an Air Min number.

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

All three colours are now on, but the canopy was a pain to blend in.  It's still visible but only just and I was smart enough to use the darker of the two greens around it.  Decals will be going on at the weekend.
