I believe it's Norwegian, and a rescueboat at that.

AAAGH!  It should be fitted with a volume control.  That paintwork is loud enough to deafen  innocent  passers by

Landing-on in rough seas must be quite interesting on that ship!

She's an odd design, for sure, & I've never seen her with a helo anywhere near her - unless Warramunga had one in her hangar (which I doubt).

Nice sun shade for the bridge, helps keep things cool!

Cor, it's 'Sea Patrol' for real.  ;D

Is the Exec as fanciable as the one in the TV programme?  ;)

Stopped at a Michigan State rest area en route to Traverse City today and was lucky enough to spot a ship brochure on the rack....news to me ! So needless to say, I had to take a wee detour. I'll plan on doing the tour next time tho !

USS Edson

Turns out she was taken from the reserve fleet ? And moved up the Atlantic and through the St. Lawrence Seaway and into the  Great Lakes ! Who knew ? Probably went right under my nose !

Found this pic as well. The Ecosse was also used to move the HMCS Haida from Tarana to Hamilton. Spent many a day and night working on this boat in Lake Erie. Used that roller at the back as a pillow a time or two as well....

USCG Hollyhock heading down river to see some ice....I'm guessing anyway  Not too many buoys to tend to now, but there are still a few Lakers working.

A family member from Lewis posted a pic on FB of a ship in the bay near Stornoway. I thought it looked like a Type 45.

Stopped by Port Burwell on our way home from moto, to see the HMCS Ojibwa. Got there to late to do the our. Next time !

A lot bigger in 'real life' than I thought. I saw the 4 boats tied up in Halifax 1n '06, and they didn't look near as big !
