My immediate reaction on reading that Wiki entry was 'How the hell did they build and launch a ship that big in WISCONSIN? It's in the middle of the USA!' But I forgot that it's on the Great Lakes...............  :banghead:  :banghead:
That ain't big. ;D

Visited Port Colborne, ON, today. Saw a bunch of wheel houses from previously broken lake freighters, and this cool boast. The MV Still Watch. Word has it, they are sailing for the Bahamas and restoring her there. Quite the history, the old girl !

Brrrrr, FAR to cold to even look at! :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It's pretty wild to watch the ice come and go. Forms awful quick when it's minus 30 !

Never thought about how quickly it reforms ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Didn't someone take some of those wheelhouses and make a house out of them?

Reminds me of the houses made from aircraft. Bet you could get a C-130E for cheap these days with all the Js out there now. Problem is no walnut paneled staterooms.

But if you want a Herky-House, would Walnut-Paneled anything the aesthetic you'd be going for?
More like 'Basic Grunt', I'd have thought...  ;D

I do get tired of grey walls. However , it's the red web fold up seats along the sides that makes it pop. 🤪 Too many home improvement tv shows.

Fill it with designer furniture made from the wings and engine pods.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
