Captain Canada

Been seeing a lot of shipping action during my daily bike rides, go past the river at least twice. The big 1000 foot lake Freighters are sure impressive ! I really should stop and take a few snaps next time I see one.

Does the USCG only have jusrisdiction over half the River, or.....?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That was the answer I got from my IC when I asked why the cops at the airport don't have to be pre-checked when they go air-side ---
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Captain Canada

LOL exactly ! But I'm sure they can go on both sides. Boaters have an I-94 or something that let's them be on either side. You can't land per se, but you can be in the water.

Hello everybody!
My first post after nearly five years lurking.

In may 2015 I visited the 150th anniversary of the DGzRS the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service in Bremerhaven.
There were many SAR-vessels from several countries. I hope you´ll like it.

Well, some part of the 5 years hiatus seemed to be induced through technical problems...? Seems to work now?

There's some nice shots there
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

What a great collection od ships and boats ! Trucks and models as well ! That would have been a great display to attend, and it's almost like we were there with that many shots ! Thanks !

Great pics, thanks ! Love to see the old working boats. The hovercraft looks like it's still in use ?

Yeah, me too, floating work platforms often look like they've been stuck together like a five year old playing with Lego.

Love the beached houseboat, scratch-bashing in 1/1 scale!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Wifey got a new position at the hospital as some kind of data entry specialist somat or other. She's been travelling all over the US ( stealing my 'cool' job ) this week she's in Baltimore and sent me these. I wish I could retire so I could go with her !
