Wings are selected and ready, maybe i will ad some tiptanks or rockets far on the outside.

The circular anti gravity coil is also ready on each wing 

And i found some very nice pieces to build the ground station , wanna show you that later.

Perfect! I can hear the whooshing sounds from here!
I would have to paint that in rattle can silver to give it that 1950s B movie look.

Rattle can silver is always my No.1 basic color 

But i have build a half dozen of models in silver last year, this should become another style ...

I hope to get it all together ,  the ropes are made, engines ready to fix on the fuselage, tailwings and a sweet piece of styrene sheet at the tail 😊.

I use 1mm Ernie Ball Super Slinky guitar strings for the anchor rope and made a test piece for the right glue to fix it for the display .

Today i have started the coating of the little beast.

Bought another can of color but at first the basic two are done. The wings became silver primer and the complete ship is sprayed in mat clear as a solid ground under the washings.

I love the engines! Are they made by Spacely Space Sprockets or Cogswell Cosmic Cogs? Are the B tail parts orange plastic or painted?

That's a sweet suggestion about the engines    i should think about that.

The tail finns are from a old F14 kit, build by a local  senior club member +40 years ago. He gifted me a big box with his old stuff "you will make something funny with it" . And so i try to keep his original paint job to show him at the next show. 

The main color will be done only with some different washings, so it could be very usefull to have complete different basic colors.

I made some tests with that.

It would be a pleasure to share that mystery secret of modern chemistry with you...

But it's just a poor try to get a useable result in a easy way without Airbrush.  I want to use the color like painting an aquarell landscape.  But the MOST important thing for me is a strong and durable result, the varnish must keep contact to the styrole under any condition!

Those PU Varnish is very usefull for final coating, but it could be also mixed with the new Vallejo  Game Color series.

Are you using all acrylics then? If you leave a little of the paint on the fuselage show through it could look cool.
In my limited experience with acrylics it seems best to stick with all your products from the same company. At least that's a better chance of working together. It's up to you, I think you have more experience with them than me.
